Systems Engineer - Level 2
Lockheed Martin Procerus Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our engineering team in Vineyard, Utah. We are a multi-disciplinary group with mechanical, electrical, software and systems expertise, focused on developing Small Unmanned Air Systems (sUAS) and supporting hardware. Our industry leading sUAS products enable critical missions for customers all over the world.
Systems engineers are responsible for many aspects of the design process including: design of system architecture and models, developing requirements and verification and validation activities, ensuring product lines work together seamlessly, and producing and reviewing system documentation.
We are looking for a candidate who desires to be an integral part of contributing to and expanding our portfolio. In this role you can help us take on the world's most important and complex challenges by providing solutions to a variety of technical problems of varying scope and complexity. The successful candidate will be flexible, motivated, dedicated, detail focused, team-oriented, and capable of multitasking.
Experience with sUAS is desired.
Job duties include:
- Collaborating with integrated multidisciplinary team
- Interacting with customers and internal stakeholders to develop effective system requirements
- Ensuring electrical, software, and mechanical designs meet system requirements
- Writing statements of work to direct supplier efforts
- Contributing to the development of novel technical solutions
- Using Model-Based Systems Engineering tools and practices
- Creating interface control documents and system functional diagrams
- Supervising release of build documentation to production

Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college; or equivalent experience/combined education.
* Experience in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, software engineering, systems engineering, or related discipline.
Desired Skills:
* Bachelors degree from an accredited college in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, software engineering, systems engineering, or related discipline, with 2 years relevant experience; or a Master's degree with no professional experience required.
* Basic understanding of systems architecture and requirements
* Strong written, communication, and presentation skills
* Experience with sUAS
* Part 107 qualified UAS pilot
* Experience with SysML, Cameo, or other systems modeling tools
* Experience defining Technical Performance Metrics and Requirements Verification
* Traceability Matrices
* Experience with agile development methodologies
* Experience interfacing with military customer

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
