Job Title: Business Analyst – Network Infrastructure
Location: Denver, CO OR St. Louis, MO; 4 days onsite, 1 day remote
Duration: Long term contract w/ potential to go full time
Overview
We are seeking a Business Analyst to support initiatives across both customer and corporate network environments for a leading telecommunications organization. This role will partner with project managers, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to support network infrastructure and data center-related projects, including greenfield initiatives. The Business Analyst will focus on requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder coordination to enable successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements
- Support project teams by coordinating between stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership
- Analyze existing processes and assist in identifying improvements or efficiencies
- Create and maintain project documentation, including:
- Business requirements documents (BRDs)
- Functional requirements
- Process flows and gaps
- Assist in tracking project progress, risks, and dependencies
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder discussions
- Support testing and validation efforts to ensure requirements are met
- Maintain clear and consistent communication across project teams
Example Project Exposure
The Business Analyst may support initiatives such as:
- Load balancer certification and automation processes
- Network inventory migration or implementation efforts
- Private cloud network buildouts
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Business Analyst supporting IT or infrastructure projects
- Basic understanding of network infrastructure or data center environments
- Ability to gather and translate business needs into clear requirements
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in telecommunications or large enterprise environments
- Exposure to network-related concepts (routing, switching, load balancing)
- Familiarity with standard BA tools and methodologies (e.g., process mapping, requirements documentation)
What This Role Is NOT
- This role is not focused on application development or software product delivery
- Candidates with only software-focused BA experience without infrastructure exposure may not be a fit
