Job Description:
Summary:
- Performs assigned tasks and escalates issues during high-volume work activity or escalation-based situations.
- Leverages process knowledge and best judgment to complete next task without direct supervision.
- Coordinates, prepares, and executes incoming/outgoing deliveries (e.g. purchase order [PO] receiving, Rack Movement Supervisor [RMS] activities).
- Ensures complete and detailed physical inventory tracking and staging. Performs inventory cycle audits, data corrections, and various Data Center regulatory compliance or certification control audit activity.
- Performs material movement, including shipping/receiving and inventory management per standard process.
- Ensures detailed physical inventory tracking and staging.
- Performs destruction of data bearing devices (DBD) following all documented procedures and runbooks
Required:
- High School Diploma AND 2+ years experience warehouse/supply chain in an information technology (IT) environment, inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or a related field Required: Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Previous experience working in a data center environment. If required, Team Manager of 5-10 supplier resources
The main function of a Data Center Technician is to monitor software to process business, scientific, engineering, and other data according to operating instructions.
Job Responsibilities:
• Monitor the system for equipment failure or errors in performance
• Respond to program error messages by finding and correcting problems or terminating the program
• Help programmers and systems analysts test and debug new programs
• Operate spreadsheet programs and other types of software to load and manipulate data and to produce reports
Qualifications:
• Associates degree in computer programming or equivalent training required
• 0-2 years experience required
• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
• Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time
This position is onsite daily and the hourly rate ranges from $21-$25/hr based on experience and qualifications.
