The National Assembly of State Arts Agencies (NASAA) is recruiting a full-time development director.
This position fosters a culture of engagement, inclusion, philanthropy and volunteerism within NASAA. As part of the management team and a key outward-facing communicator, the development director directs annual giving and major gifts from individuals, foundation and corporate support, government grants, and selected functions related to NASAA's annual conference and convenings.
The development director position is a full-time, salaried (exempt) position including benefits. The starting annual salary range is $90,000 $95,000, depending upon qualifications and experience. Review the full Development Director Position Description.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Seven years of progressive fundraising experience, including leading and mentoring a professional team Experience working in a professional association, a national nonprofit or a policy administration and advocacy organization strongly preferred Experience with budgeting and event planning strongly preferred
Skills and Abilities
- Proven computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and Salesforce or other database programs Exemplary collaboration, organizational, and written and oral communication skills; attention to detail; and ability to prioritize work and tasks
- Strong interpersonal abilities Experience developing and executing strategic goals preferred Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
