Our Next Gen Polar (NGP) team is seeking an experienced Flight Dynamics Software Developer to join our talented, diverse team. This position can be based out of Redondo Beach, CA, or Azusa, CA.

Basic Qualifications:
• 8 Years with Bachelors; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• Active DoD Secret Clearance at the time of application
• Experience with programming languages and development environments (e.g. C++11, C Python, Git, Visual Studio Code)
• Red Hat Linux operating system experience
• Ability to present in front of large groups and communicate findings to customers and management
• Experience with satellite astrodynamics analyses and mission design practices (orbit determination, ephemeris generation, perturbation analysis, maneuver planning, and error analysis)
• Experience with modern computational and satellite mission analysis software (e.g. OASYS)
• Familiarity with the Atlassian Tool Suite (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket)
• SAfe Agile experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Software engineering requirement/verification tools and processes
• Software design architecture
• Development and maintenance of interface control documents and related processes
• Space system/mission analysis and design
• Space system testing and evaluation (flight and ground testing)
• Mission Operations experience for launch and spacecraft on-orbit test & verification commissioning
• Experience in CICD pipelining (Jenkins, SonarQube)
• Active DoD Top Secret / SCI clearance
Salary Range: $137,400 - $206,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
