A client of ours is in search of a Distributed Java Developer with expertise in OpenText Exstream or other Customer Communications Management (CCM) Systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing, designing, and maintaining applications for both real-time and high-volume batch processing. This position offers the opportunity to work with a highly skilled technology team focused on delivering scalable solutions for customer communications through multiple delivery channels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance Customer Communications Management platforms using Java and OpenText Exstream.
• Lead development efforts for distributed applications, ensuring efficient and scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Teams, Technology Leads, and Architects to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Implement bug fixes and build automation testing suites to improve system efficiency.
• Drive process improvements by automating tools, content validation frameworks, and deployment processes.
• Engage in risk assessment, including code reviews, scope management, and quality assurance.
• Work closely with geographically dispersed teams to design and deliver high-volume applications.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java development (Java/Spring framework).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with OpenText Exstream or other CCM platforms.
• Proficiency in Unix, Shell scripting, and distributed applications.
• Strong understanding of batch processing, job scheduling, and scaling concepts.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bamboo) and source code repositories (Git, Bitbucket, etc.).
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience implementing various input formats (Flat files, XML, MQ, SOAP, JSON, ODBC/JDBC, etc.).
• Deep knowledge of multi/omni-channel output formats (AFP, PDF, XML, HTML5, etc.).
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, SQL) and distributed multi-tier applications.
• Knowledge of Web Content Management Systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms like Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
• Understanding of Control-M and legacy/mainframe applications is a plus.

• Ability to engage in technical discussions and architecture design sessions.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with geographically dispersed teams.
