A Day in the Life:
The Maintenance Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for all maintenance operations within a facility. They ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective upkeep of equipment, machinery, and buildings, maximizing asset reliability and lifecycle.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Safety and Food Safety: Maintaining high safety standards, complying with food safety regulations, and fostering a safety-conscious culture.
- Budget Management: Developing and controlling the maintenance budget, optimizing spending for asset reliability and capacity.
- Standardization and Process Improvement: Implementing and adhering to Bunge's standard reliability and maintenance processes, continually seeking improvement through benchmarking and best practice sharing.
- Team Management: Managing the reliability workforce, including training, skills development, and succession planning.
- Inventory Control: Overseeing the spare parts warehouse, ensuring critical spares availability while minimizing inventory costs and automating requisition processes.
- Change Management: Providing input on change management initiatives, enforcing Management of Change (MOC) procedures.
- Reliability Strategy: Executing the reliability strategy, promoting a proactive approach to maintenance and a culture that values reliability.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Fostering a culture of continuous improvement by understanding and eliminating equipment failure causes using RCA.
- Work Order Management: Ensuring effective work order planning, scheduling, and materials kitting, integrating corporate standard processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Developing and implementing strategies to improve manufacturing process reliability.
Education/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related scientific/technical field, or equivalent work experience with at least 5 years in reliability and maintenance roles.
- Preferred certifications include Level 1 in oil analysis, vibration analysis, ultrasonic testing, and thermography.
- At least 5 years of experience in Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Experience with standard corporate maintenance workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) reviews.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent administrative and analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), preferably SAP Plant Maintenance and Materials Management modules.
