
We are looking for a talented mid-level Web API Development Engineer to recruit in the ‘contract to hire’ mold with the requisite .NET Core technology skillset and relevant experience deploying to Cloud based infrastructure platforms working for an enterprise grade organization. This role requires the Software Development Engineer to design, develop, and maintain RESTful Web services using ASP.NET Core technology with the know how to manage deployments to Cloud based infrastructure platforms such as PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry) and be responsible for the delivery of mission critical APIs for the consumption of Mobile applications.
Specific technology skills required for this role:
- API development using .NET Core on C# (Java programing is not a preferred alternative) – willing to compromise on the years of actual work experience for the technically exceptional candidate.
- Prior experience with API automation and scripting tooling like Postman or Mabl is preferred.
- Exposure to mobile application development using Kotlin or SWIFT programing is a major plus.
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Microservices architecture and Containerization fundamentals preferred.
- Exposure to industry-standard Agile/Scrum tooling such as JIRA for work management.
- Prior experience within the Financial industry or with a Trading/Brokerage services company.
- Exposure to Mobile application development is a major plus.
- 5+ years Web services development.
- 4+ years C# programing working with enterprise grade organizations.
- 3+ years building and maintaining RESTful APIs leveraging ASP.NET Core technology.
- 2+ years Cloud based deployment targeting Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) platform or an equivalent like GCP or AWS.
- Knowledge of SOLID principles, DI based design patterns, and Async/Await programing.
- Familiar with application debugging techniques using Visual Studio IDE.
- Developed unit tests on C# utilizing MS Test or xUnit.NET framework.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and Git based repository for code management.
- Understanding of CI/CD practices and Lean DevOps methodologies.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk to check service health, availability, and performance.
- Computer Science or an equivalent engineering college degree.
- Relevant Technology certifications are a plus
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $38.99 to $43.33 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
