Full Job Description
Description:This classification requires to evaluate, interpret and document findings of radiographic images, rocket motor, small ordnance, and other miscellaneous hardware for compliance to applicable specifications and drawings. Perform required preventative maintenance (PM) of radiographic support equipment. Knowledge of computer skills to perform work.
Level I Radiographers will work with technical assistance and guidance. Work with progressively less guidance and instruction as knowledge, skill, and experience in classification increases.
A Level II Radiographer will provide guidance and assistance to less experienced Radiographers in the performance of duties described.
Perform inspections on rocket motors, small ordnance items and miscellaneous hardware.
Set up, maintain, and operate radiographic equipment.
Read and interpret indications and evaluate these indications with reference to standards, specifications or other related documents.
Provide technical direction and on-the-job training for Level I Radiographers. .
Provide reports and analysis of radiographic examinations, as required.
May be required to become certified in and perform other inspection functions.
Annotate processing documentation as necessary.
Basic Qualifications:
-Requires a valid Level I certification and completion of 40 hours of formal radiographic training. Requires OJT with certified Level II personnel performing Level II functions. In order to progress to a Level II Radiographer, one must have a thorough understanding of the radiographic inspection procedures and manufacturing process of rocket motors, small ordnance, and other miscellaneous items. ----Must be able to perform all Level I functions.
-Must possess knowledge of x-ray safety criteria and NDT theory, principles, technical analysis and techniques. Ability to organize and report test results.
-Ability to maintain required licenses and certifications to operate handling and support equipment necessary to perform job tasks.
-Ability to successfully pass formal test on radiographic principles, nondestructive techniques, inspections and analyses.
-Ability to successfully pass practical demonstration of efficiency/proficiency in performing Level II inspection functions.
-Skilled in the use of computers and ability to learn new computer applications.
-Ability to qualify for and maintain certifications/qualifications and/or licenses to perform assigned duties.
-Ability to meet and maintain the requirements of the Personal Reliability Program (PRP), as applicable.
Desired Skills:
-Level II certification for Dy Penetrant (PT) and Magnetic Particle (MT) methods of Non-Destructive Test. (NDT).
-Weld inspection experience similar to VT level II and CW.
Must be able to obtain Industrial Radiography Radiation Safety Personnel (IRRSP) certification for X-ray within first 90 days of employment.
-Ability and willingness to climb starts and ladders up to a height of approximately sixty feet to perform equipment checks.
-Ability to obtain maintain forklift and crane operator's licenses.
-Experience interpreting film x-ray.
-Experience interpreting Computed Tomography (CT) images.
-Experience interpreting Digital Radiographic images.
-Good interpersonal communication skills.
-Experience with ordnance (Rocket Motor Handling).

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
