Thisisan opportunity to work on the cutting edge of mobile network operations, applying both technical and analytical skills to enhance network performance and customer experience.
This role is based in the Comcast Technology Center in downtown Philadelphia, PA. It is not eligible for remote/virtual employment.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Operations & Architecture
- Operate, maintain, and optimize the mobile wireless network, focusing on E2E data and voice call architecture.
- OperateandmanageOSS/BSS functionstoensuresmoothnetwork operations.
- Good working knowledge of OSS/BSS, including but not limited to provisioning gateways, eSIM/SIM provisioning servers, entitlement services and other service assurance functions
- KPI Analysis & Proactive Analytics
Analyze network KPIsfortrending,extractingactionable insights, andconductingproactive network management.
- Designand refine meaningful KPIs from network metricsforimprovingmonitoring and predictive analytics.
Dashboard Creation & Network Monitoring
- Design and maintainthedashboardsthatmonitor network health by collecting metrics from various network elements.
- Real-time visibilityofnetwork performance to support quick decision-makingonissuesat hand. Incident Management & Troubleshooting
Utilizeincident management tools,suchasServiceNow,to track, manage, and resolve network incidents.
- Investigate network issuesthroughloganalysisandrootcauseinferenceusingadvancedskills introubleshootingto maintain highreliability of thenetwork.
Sensor Development & Data Collection
- Develop anddeploysensorsin Python or Golang thatcollect data fromvariousinternal and external applications.
- Leveragesensors to improve datagatheringwith greateraccuracy andprovidedeeper insight intonetwork performance.
Predictive Analytics & Machine Learning
- Design, train, and deploy machine learning modelsanalyzingissues in thenetworkforimprovingwireless experience.
- Utilizethemodelsdevelopedfordeeproot-cause analysis, issue prediction, andimprovement incustomer experience.
Requirements:
- Technical expertise: Proficientin E2E data and voice call architecture, OSS/BSS operations, network KPIs, and incident managementtoolinglike ServiceNow.
- DevSkills:SensordevelopmentandbuildingdataextractionforthenetworkinPythonorGo.
- Analytical Skills: Strong background in Network Troubleshooting, Log Analysis, and RootCause Investigation.
- Troubleshooting skills: Strong background in defining KPIs for end-to-end service assurance, define thresholds for alerting to prevent system meltdown. The candidate should have good expertise in developing solutions for automated issue remediation.
- Data Analysis & Machine Learning:Createandtrainmodelsthatanalyzeissues within thenetworkandwork toimprove wireless user experience.
- Experience indashboardingandvisualizationin building and maintaining dashboards to visualize network health and key metrics using Grafana, Elasticsearch and Prometheus.
- The candidate should have good expertise in High Availability Architecture to meet the SLAs
- Candidate should have hands on expertise on Load balancing architecture, DNS routing policies and upgrade architecture for micro services using CICD pipelines for on-premise and cloud workloads.
- Excellent exposure in developing secure End to End architecture in public cloud infrastructure
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a wireless networkanddeep understanding of network functions and their metrics.
- Good understanding of Kubernetes (Managed or Self-hosted) is an added advantage
- Machine learningtoolandframeworkexperiencetodrivepredictive analyticsintonetwork operations.
