We are currently looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to work in Texas.
The Team
At Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations Technology (FFIO), we support trade processing, trade settlements, corporate actions, income collection, cash management, cash and position reconciliations, securities lending, and transfer agent control and reconciliation. Our team specifically supports the capture and deliver of financial messages along with money movement to/from internal clients and the custodian banks/counter parties.

We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer who will manage and improve core applications through automation in a Java, Spring and Oracle environment using the agile methodology!
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems
5+ years of work experience in a complex technical environment supporting multi-platform infrastructures.
Extensive knowledge in Linux operating systems including configuration, network connectivity, and message queues.
DevOps/CICD experience (Jenkins, uDeploy, GIT) is preferred.
Experience with supporting and securing highly critical applications.
Affinity for data; where to get it, how to use it, what it means.
A self-starter and excellent team member who is independent, collaborative, and can work with minimal supervision.
Some experience in system analysis methodologies and techniques, including data analysis, use case development, story writing, testing, and product documentation.
A highly curious and motivated learner with strong problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; Communicates clearly, concisely, and impactfully to influence others.
Approaches work with an open mind and sense of creativity by challenging current practices and recommending improvements.
Ability to navigate through ambiguous circumstances and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.
Growth mentality with a passion for continuous learning and development.
Able to understand the technology and software architecture of an application.
Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
Demonstrable ability to work in an Agile environment is preferred.
The Team
We provide accounting and investment management support services for Fidelity mutual funds and other retail and institutional investment products. These services include calculating and distributing NAVs, distribution rates and yields for a wide variety of investment products; preparing fund financial statements, dividend estimates and tax returns; overseeing delivery of fund trades to custodian banks; processing corporate actions; collecting securities income on behalf of the funds; balancing, reporting, and moving money in support of fund shareholder transactions; and leading fund liquidity. The team builds and maintains shareholder reporting platforms.
