Scrum Master/RTE
Large Banking Client
12+ month Contract
Location: Kennesaw, GA / Richmond, VA / Charlotte, NC / Chicago, IL
Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 Remote
Hourly Rate: 73/HR on W2

Job Summary: The Release Train Engineer (RTE) and Scrum Master will be responsible for facilitating Agile Release Train (ART) processes and execution, escalating impediments, managing risk, and helping drive continuous improvement. This role will also involve serving as a Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, ensuring that Scrum practices are followed and that the teams are empowered to deliver high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate ART Processes:
- Coordinate and facilitate Program Increment (PI) planning events.
- Ensure alignment of teams within the ART to the program vision and roadmap.
- Manage and optimize the flow of value through the ART using various tools and techniques.
- Scrum Master Duties:
- Serve as a Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives).
- Coach teams on Agile practices and principles to improve delivery and performance.
- Risk Management and Problem Solving:
- Identify and manage risks and dependencies.
- Escalate and resolve impediments to ensure smooth project execution.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Act as a liaison between the ART and stakeholders.
- Communicate with stakeholders, escalate issues, and provide status updates.
- Promote collaboration and transparency across teams and stakeholders.
- Metrics and Reporting:
- Track and report on key metrics to monitor ART performance and team health.
- Use data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and/or SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification.
- 5+ years of experience in Agile project management, including experience as a Scrum Master and/or RTE.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban).
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
