Shutterfly Business Solutions (SBS) is seeking a Solutions Engineer II to join our Transactional Application Support team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in development and/or support of mission critical enterprise software systems. The candidate must make themselves available and participate in a 24/7 weeklong on-call rotation once every 6 weeks.
If you like the challenge of working on high volume systems that handle hundreds of millions of transactions annually, this role is for you. This position involves partnering closely with peers and cross-functional groups to ensure on-time, high quality, delivery of documents. You will also work closely with senior engineers and architects to leverage and improve the core capabilities of the system.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot document composition workflows: performing root cause analysis and applying fixes
- System Monitoring and maintenance
- Ability to use MS SQL for research and ad hoc reporting purposes
- Participate in design and code reviews with cross-functional teams and helping establish best practices
- Leverage technical skills to successfully drive infrastructure & tool improvements for new and existing processes and workflows
- Explore and share industry trends, recommendations on new and emerging technologies, and drive higher discipline across cross-functional teams
Qualifications:
- BS in CS or Information Systems or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in development and/or troubleshooting software issues
- 2+ years of MS SQL
- Knowledge of relational databases
- Experience with different file formats (Flat files, delimited, xml, json)
- Hands-on experience with process automation utilities
- Excellent problem-solving and software debug skills
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Excellent teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Print and Mail operations
- Experience developing and maintaining SSRS reports and reporting site
- Experience troubleshooting simple to complex application/system issues in a fast paced environment.
