The Opportunity
Hyatt seeks an enthusiastic Sr. Manager + Lead Graphic Designer to join our Lifestyle Group where you will be part of a team of professionals who love what they do. In this role, you will oversee and executes all Marketing and Retail-related design work for the Bunkhouse Group, a part of the Hyatt Lifestyle Collective. Qualifications
The Role
Reporting to the RVP, Brand & Community (Bunkhouse & JdV), the Senior Manager + Lead Graphic Designer oversees and executes all Marketing and Retail-related design work for the various Bunkhouse entities. They will exceed the expectations of all Bunkhouse customers in a multitude of tasks that include, but are not limited to, creating online and print collateral, product design work, overseeing general company marketing collateral and maintaining vendor relationships.
The person having this position must have good communication skills, the ability to resolve conflict, and a thorough understanding of company policies and must develop and maintain the company’s culture, values, and reputation in the public eye, and with all staff, guests, vendors, and partners.
Responsibilities will include:
· Events: creating online and print collateral.
· Retail: design work for new product development.
· General Marketing: Overseeing graphic design and production of misc. print collateral and marketing materials for all entities as needed, including but not limited to: fliers, newsletters, mailings, business cards, etc.
· Overseeing all print collateral updates and production, including press checks.
· Collaborate with creative leadership team to concept new brand identities.
· Work closely with marketing team and properties to bring campaigns and concepts to l life across all channels (print, social, digital, web, retail).
· Master the brand voice and tone of all Bunkhouse properties.
· Manage internal graphic designers and freelancers, ensuring their work is aligned creatively with the brief and brand.
· Establishing and maintaining vendor relationships.
· Develop departmental objectives, budgets, policies, procedures, and strategies.
· Demonstrate a working understanding of labor cost control through effective scheduling and self-management.
· Ensure open lines of communication with Bunkhouse staff and Bunkhouse properties via email, meetings, etc., to ensure all needs of the company are met.
· Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in the work area.
· Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, training material, memos, and verbal instruction.
· Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good, safe working condition.
· Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the property.
· Keep abreast of safety and emergency procedures and OSHA requirements.
· Attend relevant meetings.
Qualifications - External
Qualifications
Experience Required
· High School diploma or general education degree (GED). College Degree preferred.
· 5+ years of experience working at a creative/branding agency, hospitality brand, or as an independent designer, with previous experience as an Art Director.
· Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro).
· Manage a team of two (2) or more effectively.
· Demonstrate understanding of a budget, creatively adhering to any limitations.
· Illustration experience in a varied set of styles, with knowledge of color, composition, and digital production (Preferred).
· Knowledge of pre-press and different printing processes.
· Well organized administratively, able to stay on top of workflow organization, file management.
· Creative appreciation for vintage, modern and eclectic styling.
· Organized, orderly and excellent attention to detail.
· Excellent visual/conceptual skills with experience in branding and identity.
· High standard of creative and attention to detail on all delivery output.
· Ability to work with tight deadlines and shifting needs.
· Ability to speak effectively before groups of co-workers and sister property staff.
