Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Must be flexible to meet current and future business needs, which may require some overtime.
Pay:
$30.00
This position is for students currently enrolled as an undergraduate in their Junior/Senior year or pursuing their graduate degree in a related field.
As an accounting intern within our accounting department, you will be based in Rochester, NY. The Accounting team is non-member facing and provides support across ESL and its subsidiaries. The accounting intern will work and network amongst other accounting & finance professionals at various levels of the organization. Specific duties will evolve around:
- Developing an understanding of the Credit Union’s business model and core functions.
- Preparing balance sheet account reconciliations in accordance with Policies and Procedures.
- Shadowing all roles within the accounting department on a rotational basis.
- Analyzing and organizing raw data to identify trends and insights to share with management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Currently an undergraduate student in your junior or senior year.
- Accounting, Finance, or related Business major.
- Expected to graduate between December 2025-May 2026.
- Cumulative GPA is 3.25 or above.
- Highly motivated and results oriented with a desire to exceed expectations.
- Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and courage.
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to develop solutions to modestly complex challenges.
- Legal authorization to work in the US now and in the future without sponsorship.
