Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking talented and innovative co-op candidates to join our IT Global Functions and Supply Chain department, working at our Animal Health campus in Duluth, GA. As a Co-Op in IT GFS, you will work on a global strategic initiative to make better use of our data and enhance our ability to make data driven decisions. You will work closely with Subject matter experts and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business solutions, understand the business problem, extract and build relevant trends and patterns from data. You will help the team shape, develop, and execute complex analytic solutions that will transform the healthcare industry.

-Potential Start Dates - July 21, August 4, August 18.
-Co-op Students must work full-time and for at least 4 months after the start date. We may extend you up to 6 months in total. These are Full time positions only.
-This role will be on-site 3 days per week in our Duluth, GA location. There may be travel to our Athens, GA location during the co-op.
Duties & Responsibilities
-Collaborate with business partners to collect ideas for application/process improvements.
-Propose IT-centered enhancements, technology use-cases, and/or solutions.
-Work with local IT team to develop a pilot project to implement an improvement project. This project will seek to utilize a state-of-the-art technology, framework, tool or technique, in a way that provides value. Technologies may include:
AI\Machine Learning\Data Science\LLMs
Power BI tools
APIs
Database\SQL
RPA
-Execute the pilot project using Agile methodologies and framework.
-Upon execution of the pilot project(s), document the solution design, and transfer the necessary knowledge and lessons learned to local IT team.
-Support business partners with technology-related needs.
Requirements
- Must be a current undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing.
- Student must be enrolled at a college or university for the duration of the internship.
- Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferred.
- Major or minor in related field of internship
- Undergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credit hours at current college or university.
- Graduate and advanced degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or university.
Eligibility Requirements
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Desired Skills, Experience and Abilities
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Data Science, or another STEM field.
- Experience with Data Visualization Tools and experience building Power BI reports.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of database and analytical technologies in the industry.
- Experience or coursework in machine learning and/or deep learning
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges in an enterprise environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
