Overview
The Cleanroom Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of the cleanroom environment. This role involves following strict protocols to prevent contamination, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring all equipment and processes adhere to established standards. The technician will work closely with other team members to ensure processes are followed is consistently maintained.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Cleanroom Tech will report directly to the QC lead, QA Manager or director.
The Cleanroom Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of the cleanroom environment. This role involves following strict protocols to prevent contamination, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring all equipment and processes adhere to established standards. The technician will work closely with other team members to ensure processes are followed is consistently maintained.
Cleanroom Maintenance:
- Perform daily cleaning tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure all surfaces, equipment, and materials within the cleanroom meet cleanliness standards.
Contamination Control:
- Adhere to gowning procedures and protocols to prevent contamination.
- Follow cleanroom entry and exit procedures for personnel and materials.
- Use ionizers and other tools to reduce airborne particles and contaminants.
Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
- Operate and maintain cleanroom equipment, including benches, airflow systems, and static mats.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on cleanroom tools and machinery.
- Report and document any equipment malfunctions or irregularities to the supervisor.
Quality Control:
· Work with the Quality Inspector to address and resolve any quality issues.
· Process Improvement:
- Assist in the development and implementation of cleanroom procedures and best practices.
- Identify areas for improvement in contamination control and operational efficiency.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
· Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety guidelines and regulations pertaining to cleanroom operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in safety training and contribute to a safe working environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a cleanroom environment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of cleanroom protocols, contamination control, and gowning procedures.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
- Must be able to stand consistently and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of quality control principles and practices.
· Shares timely information with peers on daily progress.
· Ability to contribute to project teams.
· Focus and attention to detail is critical.
· Understanding of Good Documentation Practices preferred.
