About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Technology as part of Wealth and Investment Management Technology Platform team which provides support for Wealth and Investment Management line of business applications. The team is accountable for the availability, stability, resiliency and operational health of all platforms. The team partner with all teams in Wells Fargo including those in business operations to ensure all our customer transactions and associated technologies are monitored for operational health, performance, capacity and availability. This team plays a key role in enabling and driving forward the agile acceleration and DevOps changes currently underway. Team members within this function will ensure availability is paramount, including our critical obligation of protecting our customer’s information.
The Lead Software Engineer will deliver enterprise capabilities that improve overall availability of 70+ applications across the Wealth and Investment business lines. We are looking for an engineer who enjoys and thrives on solving complex problems through innovation impacting change at scale. You will join an elite team of engineers driving Technology's transformation by introducing enterprise capabilities and products, launching new platforms, building tools, automating away complex issues, and integrate with the latest technology. The team will leverage experience as software engineers and systems engineers/administrators and work closely with the rest of the WIM development and architecture teams.

In this role, you will:
- Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
- Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
- Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
- Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
- Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
- Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Lead Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of application production support experience
- 3+ years of experience with building, deploying, and securing cloud platforms
- 2+ years of experience with database technologies such as MongoDB, Basic SQL, Cassandra DB, Oracle, Postgres SQL
- 2+ years of experience with Observability tools such as AppDynamics (equivalent APM), Prometheus, Splunk, Netcool, Autosys, Sitescope
- 1+ years of experience with messaging & API technologies such as Kafka, Apigee.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with system administration across multiple platforms.
- Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
- Strong communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience
- Experience with one or more Cloud platforms: AWS, OpenShift Container Platform, Azure, Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) or VMware Tanzu App Service (TAS)
- Experience utilizing Cloud Infrastructure with tools and applications such as AWS Cloud Formation Templates, Spinnaker and Terraform

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
