Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Cybersecurity Release Train Engineer (RTE) to support a fast-moving environment focused on engineering, architecture, and data protection initiatives. This role will partner with cybersecurity leaders to help drive delivery, coordination, and execution across multiple agile teams. The position is situated in a growing and transformative space, requiring an individual who can observe, guide, and drive alignment across teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the RTE across multiple cybersecurity teams, helping drive alignment, execution, and delivery.
  • Support data protection and loss prevention initiatives, working with engineering and architecture teams.
  • Coach and guide teams from an agile/SAFe perspective, helping to mature their processes.
  • Partner with scrum masters, tech leads, and leadership to keep teams aligned on priorities and execution.
  • Drive cross-team collaboration, including managing and tracking internal and external dependencies.
  • Facilitate and improve PI planning and ongoing program execution.
  • Work within EPMO processes and delivery enablement frameworks.
  • Identify and escalate risks or blockers at the program or organizational level.
  • Provide guidance on story quality, feature development, and acceptance criteria.
  • Create templates and frameworks to help teams improve consistency and delivery quality.
  • Engage with teams by observing, understanding, and providing support where needed to aid execution.
  • Partner with leadership to continuously improve team performance and outcomes.
Required Qualifications

Experience: 4–6 years of experience in the cybersecurity space and 4–6 years of experience as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) or in a similar agile program role. Strong experience working in SAFe / Agile environments is required. The role demands an ability to coach teams in real-time while also contributing directly when needed. A strong understanding of cybersecurity domains, particularly within engineering, architecture, or data protection/DLP, is necessary. Experience managing cross-team dependencies and large-scale program coordination is also required.

Skills: Candidates should be comfortable navigating ambiguity and supporting teams at different levels of agile maturity. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are needed to influence across technology and business partners.

Technical Skills: Experience with Jira (including Jira Product Discovery), Confluence, and Jira Align is required. Familiarity with GitHub, GitHub Copilot, and AI tools such as Copilot, Cursor, and Jira AI capabilities is also necessary.
